Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create and execute thorough testing strategies, plans, and cases for both functional and end-to-end workflows.

• Build and sustain automated tests utilizing Playwright and Python.

• Conduct API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Verify backend data and analytics results using SQL.

• Test applications that are data-intensive, including data pipelines and ETL workflows.

• Determine test scenarios that are appropriate for automation based on risk, business impact, and coverage.

• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins.

• Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

• Identify, document, track, and confirm defects until resolution using Jira or similar tools.

• Conduct manual testing for scenarios that cannot be efficiently automated.

• Assist in the validation and root-cause analysis of production issues.

• Work in close collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Analytics teams to comprehend requirements and ensure product quality.

• Engage in code reviews and offer feedback to enhance testability and overall software quality.

• Take ownership of quality throughout the process, build and maintain automation independently, troubleshoot failures, and validate complex data workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Playwright.

• Strong programming capabilities in Python.

• Extensive experience with API and UI testing.

• Experience in testing data-heavy, analytics, or SaaS applications.

• Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation.

• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Practical experience in integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

• Comprehensive understanding of the SDLC, Agile methodologies, and continuous integration practices.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to work independently.

• Outstanding communication and documentation skills.

• Nice to have: experience with pytest.

• Nice to have: experience with Ginkgo / Go and BDD-style testing.

• Nice to have: experience with Golang.

• Nice to have: experience with ETL/data pipeline testing.

• Nice to have: experience with AWS, Terraform, and VPC.

• Nice to have: experience with Jenkins or similar CI tools.

• Nice to have: experience with Jira or similar defect management tools.
