Senior GIS Software QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement test plans, test cases, procedures, and scripts.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

• Identify, document, and monitor software defects until they are resolved.

• Validate software updates, enhancements, and configuration modifications.

• Test application workflows, data interfaces, and database functionalities.

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and users to troubleshoot and address issues.

• Maintain documentation of tests, results, defect logs, and quality records.

• Engage in requirements reviews and software release processes.

• Assist in testing and ensuring quality assurance of software applications, databases, and related technology solutions.

• Create and conduct testing activities to ensure applications fulfill customer and technical requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, GIS, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or application support.

• Proficient in creating and executing software test plans and test cases.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

• Experience with database-driven or enterprise applications.

• Capability to meet relevant client access requirements.

• Experience testing GIS or mapping applications.

• Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS applications.

• Experience with defect tracking and requirements management tools.

• Understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

• Experience in a government or large enterprise setting.

• Work may require prolonged sitting or standing.

• Position may necessitate typing and reading from a computer screen.

• Must possess sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling.

• Walking moderate to long distances may be necessary.

• Potential lifting of up to 25 lbs.
