Senior QA Manual Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Develop, document, and implement thorough test plans, test suites, and intricate edge-case scenarios across web and mobile platforms.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and RESTful API testing.

• Validate APIs and systems utilizing Postman, Charles Proxy, and Swagger.

• Log, monitor, and prioritize intricate defects in Jira, Zephyr, or TestRail.

• Collaborate with developers to facilitate root-cause analysis and resolutions.

• Identify recurring testing processes that are suitable for transition to test automation.

• Work with automation engineers to establish robust script specifications.

• Execute SQL queries to ensure backend data integrity and confirm state transitions.

• Lead test case reviews and conduct risk assessment meetings.

• Offer technical guidance to mid-level and junior QA engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of dedicated experience in software quality assurance with a strong emphasis on manual testing within fast-paced, client-oriented software environments.

• Extensive knowledge in functional, regression, boundary, exploratory, and acceptance testing.

• Practical experience in API testing with Postman, Swagger, and Charles Proxy.

• Fundamental understanding of automation principles and tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or basic scripting.

• High proficiency in Jira, Zephyr, and TestRail.

• Strong SQL capabilities for database validation.

• A robust ownership mindset, exceptional attention to detail, proactive risk identification, and strong analytical troubleshooting skills.

• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken, is essential for direct collaboration with U.S.-based product managers and engineering leaders.
