Senior QA Engineer, Web

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the quality assurance process for business features from technical hand-off to successful production launch.

• Analyze specifications and develop test plans, detailed test cases, and checklists.

• Provide accurate testing estimates and adhere to agreed deadlines.

• Execute functional, exploratory, regression, UI/UX, cross-browser, and end-to-end API testing across various modern browsers and responsive viewports.

• Contribute to the automation of web testing.

• Maintain test documentation and perform peer reviews, including reviewing test code when involved in automation.

• Collaborate with Product, Front-End, Back-End engineers, and Architects throughout the development lifecycle.

• Support web production launches by validating builds, performing smoke and regression tests, and monitoring live errors and performance metrics.

• Monitor and enhance QA metrics, such as defect escape rate and test coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in QA methodologies, test design, and the overall testing process.

• Good grasp of web technologies and client-server architecture, including HTTP/HTTPS, REST, DOM, cookies, cache, and local storage.

• Experience in cross-browser and responsive testing with Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and mobile viewports.

• Proficient with DevTools and debugging proxies such as Proxyman, Charles, Fiddler, or similar tools.

• Experience in API testing using Postman, REST/GraphQL, and working with test data.

• Practical experience with Jira, Allure TestOps or similar tools, and Git.

• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or Python scripting is a plus.

• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong time management.

• Proficiency in Russian and good command of English — both are essential.
