Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual and exploratory testing for web and mobile releases.

• Utilize browser developer tools to identify and isolate issues.

• Debug React Native applications on actual iOS and Android devices, as well as simulators and emulators.

• Analyze device and crash logs, and monitor network traffic.

• Leverage Datadog for issue triage, differentiate between client-side and server-side bugs, and attach relevant evidence to tickets.

• Perform testing on Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and the Node BFF by validating payloads, status codes, error handling, and edge cases.

• Verify authentication, authorization, and role-based access at the API level.

• Assess service-to-service interactions and data-pipeline functionality.

• Evaluate idempotency, retry mechanisms, and backend failure responses.

• Create detailed bug reports including reproduction steps, environments, expected versus actual behavior, logs, network calls, screenshots, or recordings.

• Develop and maintain regression test suites and release checklists.

• Assist in the transition of repetitive test coverage towards automation.

• Employ AI-assisted tools for generating test cases, analyzing logs, and investigating reproductions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in using browser developer tools to examine JavaScript errors, network requests, payloads, status codes, headers, local/session storage, and device emulation.

• Experienced in testing and debugging React Native applications on real iOS and Android devices, along with simulators and emulators.

• Capable of retrieving native device and crash logs, managing pre-release and over-the-air builds, and replicating issues across various OS versions and screen sizes.

• Knowledgeable in designing and constructing automated test suites from the ground up using Playwright for web and Maestro for mobile.

• Familiar with API testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Basic understanding of SQL and PostgreSQL.

• Comfortable with reading structured application logs.

• Acquainted with Datadog or similar observability platforms for logs, dashboards, and error tracking.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions or similar tools.

• Regularly use AI tools in everyday work.

• Ability to read TypeScript and React code (preferred).

• Familiarity with Jest and Testing Library unit tests (preferred).

• Knowledge of Optimizely or LaunchDarkly (preferred).

• Experience with verifying analytics and event tracking via Segment, Mixpanel, or Braze (preferred).

• Exposure to Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics (preferred).

• Familiarity with Jira and test case management systems (preferred).

• Experience in accessibility and performance testing (preferred).

• Knowledge of Gatling, Artillery, or similar load-testing tools (preferred).

• Understanding of TestFlight, internal Play testing, and over-the-air updates (preferred).
