Senior QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the automated testing framework for the project

• Create, develop, maintain, and execute automated tests utilizing Cypress

• Broaden the scope of automation across the web platform and third-party integrations

• Develop automated end-to-end scenarios that encompass interactions between various components and external systems

• Oversee regression suites and guarantee that automated tests are stable and dependable

• Analyze failed test runs and collaborate with developers to diagnose product or automation challenges

• Embed automated testing within CI/CD processes and refine automation feedback loops

• Evaluate new features and requirements from an automation standpoint and pinpoint suitable test coverage

• Contribute to the broader QA strategy with a strong emphasis on optimizing meaningful automation coverage

• Collaborate within a team that includes backend engineers, frontend engineers, QA engineers, and a product owner

• Engage in interviews with recruiters, managers, and clients

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional QA experience, with significant hands-on expertise in test automation

• Robust practical knowledge of Cypress and experience in building or enhancing automation frameworks

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript for test automation

• Experience in automating intricate web applications and end-to-end user workflows

• Familiarity with API testing and automation of API tests

• Proven experience in testing integrations between various systems and external services

• Solid understanding of test automation architecture, design, and best practices

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and executing automated tests as part of continuous integration

• Proficient in troubleshooting failed and flaky automated tests to enhance test reliability

• Good grasp of web technologies, HTTP, REST APIs, browser behavior, and authentication and authorization processes

• Capability to independently analyze functionalities and devise effective automation strategies

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proactive and independent mindset with a willingness to take charge of automation initiatives

• Bonus: Experience in automating browser extensions or Chrome-based integrations

• Bonus: Experience in testing or automating Microsoft Outlook add-ins / Office add-ins

• Bonus: Familiarity with identity providers, SSO, OAuth, OIDC, or SAML authentication flows
