Senior Python Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the founders on product and technical strategy.

• Construct and sustain the Django backend that supports both the consumer dashboard and the B2B platform.

• Create functionalities for APIs that bolster the consumer dashboard and enhance customer reporting.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of Celery and RabbitMQ workflows.

• Integrate external services, including payment solutions and identity providers such as Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, including overseeing production post-launch.

• Participate in code reviews within a compact backend team.

• Start contributing to meaningful projects within the first week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in developing production web applications.

• More than 3 years of experience with Python and Django.

• Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in a production environment.

• Familiarity with data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system architecture.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Ability to work asynchronously across different time zones.

• Capability for self-direction and follow-through on tasks.

• Proficiency in DRF and/or django-ninja is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Postgres tuning and query analysis is a notable plus.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Stripe, WorkOS SSO, or other third-party API integrations is a strong plus.

• Experience with HTMX, React, or both is a valuable asset.

• A background in consumer privacy or related fields is a beneficial addition.

• Experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code is a noteworthy advantage.
