Senior Python, Django Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the Django backend that supports the consumer dashboard and B2B platform.

• Create new features for APIs that enhance the consumer dashboard and customer reporting capabilities.

• Enhance the performance and reliability of Celery and RabbitMQ pipelines.

• Integrate external services, including payment processors and identity providers like Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Conduct backend code reviews and engage in peer code review processes.

• Take ownership of features from inception to completion, ensuring follow-up in production post-launch.

• Start contributing meaningful work within the first week.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in building production web applications.

• More than 3 years of experience with Python and Django.

• Hands-on experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in a production environment.

• Proficient understanding of data structures, concurrency, SQL, and system architecture.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Comfortable working asynchronously across different time zones.

• Ability to work independently and ensure follow-through on tasks.

• Experience with DRF and/or django-ninja.

• Skills in Postgres tuning and query optimization.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and AWS.

• Experience in integrating third-party APIs like Stripe and WorkOS SSO.

• Knowledge of HTMX, React, or both.

• Background in consumer privacy or related industries.

• Experience working with AI coding assistants, such as Claude Code.
