Lead Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Contribute to product features that enhance customer experience

• Build and sustain the Java Spring-based platform for a rapidly growing business

• Collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers across various locations

• Play a role in the architecture and design of the expanding platform

• Maintain code quality, performance, and scalability

• Delegate tasks, create systems, manage workload, and personally handle complex coding tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• Deep passion for programming; adept at delegation, system building, managing workload, and tackling complex coding tasks independently

• Proficient technical writing capabilities

• Experience in generating documentation from the ground up for mid-sized businesses

• Background in working with fintech/proptech product scale-ups

• Leadership experience with small to medium-sized teams

• Proven track record as a top performer

• Extensive Java expertise (6+ years)

• Strong knowledge of the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, MVC, Security)

• Familiarity with ORM frameworks (JPA/Hibernate)

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases

• Understanding of AWS services, including ECS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch

• DevOps capabilities in AWS provisioning, operations, and management

• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail

• Capacity to work autonomously in a remote environment

• AWS Certification is a plus
