Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer – Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

• Take ownership of comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize tools and personalized workflows to enhance data collection, validation, and task execution.

• Extract information from dynamic and interactive web sources, adjusting to JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting guidelines, and systematic verification.

• Expand scraping operations for large datasets using efficient batching or parallelization techniques.

• Monitor failures and ensure stability in response to minor changes in site structure.

• Leverage web scraping, data extraction, and data processing expertise for Tendem project workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines is advantageous.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including tools like BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar, as well as dynamic content and APIs via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from intricate structures, such as hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Strong foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation processes.

• Demonstrated experience managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure like AWS or its equivalents and containerization using Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar in relation to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher.

• A link to your GitHub profile is a plus.
