Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of complete data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize existing tools and tailored workflows to expedite data collection, validation, and task completion.

• Extract information consistently from dynamic and interactive online sources.

• Modify strategies for content rendered in JavaScript and adapt to evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting standards, and systematic verification processes.

• Scale scraping operations for extensive datasets through efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Oversee failures and ensure stability in response to minor changes in site structure.

• Implement tools like Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies in web extraction and processing workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical disciplines is advantageous.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar, as well as dynamic content and APIs through proxies.

• Proven track record of extracting data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Strong foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, with a focus on delivering structured datasets in CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience in managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or similar platforms.

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar, applied to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.

• A GitHub link is a plus.
