Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Lead specialized data scraping processes within Mindrift’s hybrid AI and human Tendem framework.

• Work in conjunction with Tendem Agents who manage repetitive tasks.

• Oversee comprehensive data extraction workflows across intricate websites.

• Guarantee complete coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize tools and tailored workflows to expedite data collection, validation, and task execution.

• Extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, adapting to JavaScript-rendered content and evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting requirements, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for large datasets by employing efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Monitor failures and ensure stability against minor structural changes on websites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (mandatory).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is advantageous.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or equivalents, along with dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.

• Proven track record of extracting data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Strong foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets in formats such as CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience managing anti-bot measures and dynamic site architectures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or comparable solutions and containerization using Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar, applied to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the capability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher (required).
