Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

📋 Description

• Manage comprehensive data extraction workflows across intricate websites.

• Guarantee full coverage, accuracy, and dependable delivery of structured datasets.

• Utilize available tools and bespoke workflows to enhance data collection, validation, and task execution.

• Extract data consistently from dynamic and interactive web sources, adjusting to JavaScript-rendered content and variations in site behavior.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, cross-source consistency controls, formatting standards, and systematic verification.

• Scale scraping operations for substantial datasets using efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Monitor failures and ensure stability against minor adjustments in site structure.

• Leverage tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies for web extraction and processing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of pertinent experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is advantageous.

• Strong technical skills and practical experience in scripting, automation, and data extraction workflows.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar tools, dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Strong background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, delivering structured datasets in CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets.

• Demonstrated experience managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or equivalent and containerization using Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar applied to automation tasks.

• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher.
