Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Manage comprehensive data extraction processes across intricate websites.

• Guarantee thorough coverage, precision, and dependable delivery of organized datasets.

• Leverage available tools and tailored workflows to expedite data gathering, validation, and task execution.

• Consistently extract data from dynamic and interactive web sources, including content rendered by JavaScript.

• Adjust scraping strategies in response to evolving site behaviors.

• Uphold data quality through validation checks, controls for cross-source consistency, formatting guidelines, and systematic verification.

• Expand scraping operations for large datasets utilizing efficient batching or parallel processing.

• Track failures and ensure stability in response to minor alterations in site structure.

• Utilize tools such as Apify, OpenRouter, and other technologies alongside technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development (mandatory).

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is advantageous.

• Extensive experience in Python web scraping, including BeautifulSoup, Selenium or similar tools, as well as dynamic content (JS, AJAX, infinite scroll), and APIs via proxies.

• Proven capability to extract data from complex structures, including hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML.

• Strong foundation in data cleaning, normalization, and validation.

• Demonstrated experience managing anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or similar and containerization with Docker.

• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, OpenRouter, or similar applied to automation tasks.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

• Self-motivated work ethic with the ability to troubleshoot independently.

• Proficiency in English at Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher (mandatory).
