Senior Python Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable Python microservices within a distributed architecture.

• Develop and enhance high-performance backend systems, ensuring they remain scalable and reliable even under significant load.

• Integrate and oversee third-party APIs and external services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technical solutions and system design strategies.

• Utilize AWS services (such as Lambda and cloud infrastructure) to architect and deploy solutions.

• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes in partnership with the DevOps team.

• Lead and participate in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards.

• Identify system bottlenecks and initiate improvements in performance and scalability.

• Resolve complex production issues in distributed systems.

• Engage in technical discussions and promote best practices within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of backend engineering experience with a strong command of Python.

• Demonstrated experience in building and scaling microservices architectures.

• Proficient knowledge of FastAPI or Django.

• Experience utilizing AWS services, including Lambda.

• Extensive experience with Docker and containerization.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab).

• Strong understanding of distributed systems and environments with high load.

• Experience in designing and optimizing systems for both performance and scalability.

• Solid experience in integrating third-party APIs.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Strong communication skills and the capacity to work in a remote-first environment.

• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial platforms.

• Background in high-throughput systems (such as trading, payments, or real-time processing).

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, messaging systems).

• Experience in mentoring or supporting fellow engineers.
