Senior PV Planner – DC Planning, Digital Processes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop technically and commercially optimal concepts for large rooftop photovoltaic systems in the commercial and industrial sectors.

• Create planning documentation.

• Perform yield simulations and analyze factors affecting energy yield and Performance Ratio.

• Enhance system concepts regarding yield, technical feasibility, quality, and investment costs.

• Evaluate technical alternatives and prepare reliable decision-making materials.

• Consider shading, system losses, degradation, and site-specific conditions.

• Assist with P50/P90 assessments and inquiries related to yield certainty and bankability.

• Act as the technical liaison for Sales, project teams, external EPC partners, consultants, and testing institutes.

• Guarantee transparent and traceable planning documentation as a foundation for project execution.

• Continuously improve planning processes, technical standards, and quality assurance measures.

• Identify repetitive tasks and develop automation solutions.

• Utilize digital and AI-powered tools for analyses, documentation, and internal workflows.

• Aid in the selection, evaluation, and implementation of new planning and automation tools.

• Share technical knowledge and assist in the sustainable scaling of GIGA.GREEN.


⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in engineering or another technical discipline.

• Several years of professional experience in the technical planning of photovoltaic systems, preferably in the commercial and industrial sectors.

• Experience with DC system design and the creation of layout, string, and cable plans.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and a relevant simulation or planning tool, such as PV*SOL or PVsyst.

• Strong understanding of system yield, Performance Ratio, system losses, and degradation.

• Interest in digital and AI-powered tools.

• Knowledge of PVcase, Python, scripting, or APIs is advantageous.

• A structured and independent working style.

• Enjoyment in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

• Fluent in German and proficient in English.
