This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead and provide guidance on projects from inception through to delivery.
• Conduct timely feedback reviews related to the project.
• Develop and oversee project budgets, including ongoing completion estimates.
• Create, plan, and manage project timelines and payment milestones.
• Implement contingency plans as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
• Oversee contractual scope content and keep all stakeholders updated.
• Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities, ensuring that all issues are addressed.
• Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, while fostering strong relationships with customers, peers, Engineering, and global teams.
• Serve as the primary contact for project-related activities and undertake additional duties as assigned or requested.
• Execute service projects that meet GE Vernova's customer outage requirements for the Nuclear Power Business.
• A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least 5+ years of relevant project management experience in the power generation or industrial manufacturing sector.
• Capability to gain unescorted access to a Nuclear power facility in Canada or the U.S.
• Willingness to travel, up to 30% annually, both domestically and internationally.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
• Ability to work on-site at customer locations as required.
• Professional Engineering Certification.
• PMP Certification.
• Experience with Steam Power systems in a Nuclear, Fossil, or Industrial power plant environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and a working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Successful completion of a background investigation.
• Drug screening as part of the background check is not needed if the role is based in Canada.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills suitable for both technical and business audiences.
• Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
• Ability to thrive in a matrix environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Adaptability to evolving technology.
• Attention to detail and effective time management skills to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
• Analytical thinker who is detail-oriented, insightful, and results-driven; capable of making reasoned, sound, and timely decisions.
• Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
