Senior Project Manager, Power Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver consulting services and produce work products that support financial transactions related to the development, financing, acquisition, and sale of both generation and non-generation hard assets.

• Recognize technical and commercial risks and assist clients in identifying or assessing solutions.

• Collaborate with project developers, utilities, equipment manufacturers, engineering firms, investors, bankers, as well as legal and financial advisors.

• Assess, track, and review project economics, which includes costs, operational budgets, staffing, subcontractors, resources, and associated risks.

• Organize, schedule, oversee, and report on project activities.

• Lead project teams in alignment with client requirements and objectives.

• Facilitate status review meetings with project team members and clients.

• Assist senior management with proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules.

• Oversee project requirements, scope, and change management issues.

• Mentor and guide cross-functional team members to achieve goals, adhere to schedules, and resolve technical or operational challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in energy consulting and the evaluation of distributed generation, combined heat and power plants, utility consulting, electric power generation facilities, and related technologies.

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, or additional pertinent experience in place of a degree.

• 12 to 15 years of extensive experience in various independent engineering assignments and/or related business functions.

• Experience in consulting for lenders, funds, utilities, and independent developers.

• Experience in assessing commercial risks associated with construction, procurement, operational, and service contracts.

• Willingness to travel up to 10–15% of the time.
