This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the implementation of large and intricate substation projects within GE Vernova’s Grid Systems Integration sector.
• Integrate various interrelated sub-projects and workflows into a cohesive delivery strategy.
• Harmonize actions across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and client interaction workstreams.
• Assess project scope against the GE Vernova quote during the transition from commercial to project management.
• Facilitate internal and client project initiation meetings, assigning roles and responsibilities accordingly.
• Spearhead project planning and execution from the initial planning phase through to delivery and handover.
• Establish and uphold project governance, which includes project reviews, action tracking, decision logs, escalation management, and leadership reporting.
• Track performance against key metrics, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks, issues, delays, and cost implications.
• Assist sub-project leaders and functional teams in overcoming cross-functional obstacles and eliminating execution barriers.
• Manage client communications and stakeholder coordination effectively.
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, internal processes, quality benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
• Lead change management efforts, including scope-change evaluations, schedule and cost impact assessments, and customer notifications or approvals.
• Prepare and deliver project status reports, forecasts, and executive summaries to leadership.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Support project closure processes, final deliverables, lessons learned, financial finalization, and transition to warranty or service stages.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent project management experience is essential.
• Experience is preferred in substations, grid infrastructure, energy, or other large and complex industrial projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage intricate, multi-workstream projects across cross-functional and international settings.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.
• Experience in engaging global or regional stakeholders in matrixed organizations.
• Capability to lead with structure and urgency while managing competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills across teams, clients, and senior leadership.
• Proficiency in designing scalable frameworks and predicting operational needs.
• Competence in root-cause diagnosis, managing ambiguity, and delivering practical solutions.
• Ability to utilize data, metrics, and trends for informed decision-making and impact assessment.
• Expertise in driving organizational change, securing stakeholder buy-in, and leading adoption across diverse teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% based on business requirements.
• Proficiency in the French language is a plus.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information may necessitate authorization from the U.S. Government.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, where applicable.
• Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree or relevant certifications such as PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma.
• Experience in substation or grid project environments is a significant advantage.
