Senior Project Manager – BTM I&C

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of extensive and intricate substation projects within GE Vernova’s Grid Systems Integration division.

• Integrate multiple interrelated sub-projects and workstreams into a cohesive delivery strategy.

• Synchronize engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, construction, commissioning, handover, and customer-interface activities.

• Evaluate project scope against the GEV quote during the transition from Commercial to Project Management.

• Lead project kick-off meetings with both internal teams and customers.

• Delegate roles and responsibilities to internal team members.

• Establish and uphold project governance, including reviews, action tracking, decision logs, escalations, and leadership reporting.

• Track project performance against essential metrics.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, issues, delays, and cost implications.

• Assist sub-project leaders and functional teams in overcoming cross-functional challenges and eliminating execution obstacles.

• Manage communications with customers and coordinate with stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, internal procedures, quality benchmarks, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

• Lead change management initiatives, including evaluating scope changes, assessing schedule and cost impacts, approvals, and notifying customers.

• Prepare and deliver project status updates, forecasts, and executive summaries to leadership.

• Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous enhancement.

• Support project closure, finalize deliverables, capture lessons learned, achieve financial closure, and transition to warranty or service phases.

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of pertinent project management experience is essential.

• Experience in substations, grid infrastructure, energy, or other large and complex industrial projects is preferable.

• Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects across cross-functional and international settings.

• Strong foundation in project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.

• Experience in engaging global or regional stakeholders within matrixed organizations.

• Ability to navigate competing priorities while ensuring consistent execution.

• Excellent communication skills across teams, customers, and senior leadership.

• Capacity to design scalable frameworks and anticipate operational requirements.

• Proficiency in root-cause analysis and practical problem-solving.

• Ability to leverage data, metrics, and trends for informed decision-making and impact assessment.

• Experience in organizational change management and securing stakeholder buy-in.

• Proficiency in the French language is an advantage.

• Access to U.S. export-controlled information may necessitate authorization from the U.S. Government.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% based on business needs.
