Senior Project Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee the coordination and execution of Wyoming’s Rural Health Transformation Grant.

• Manage and coordinate the Western Rural Health Transformation Network.

• Organize and facilitate network meetings, learning sessions, and cross-state peer exchanges.

• Identify and share promising practices, resources, and lessons learned among participating states.

• Promote collaboration among network members to enhance rural healthcare workforce solutions.

• Create materials, reports, and communications that support network engagement and knowledge sharing.

• Coordinate project planning, implementation, reporting, and performance tracking for the grant.

• Ensure adherence to federal regulations, grant conditions, and specific agency guidelines.

• Develop a competitive application process for grant subawardees.

• Maintain reporting calendars and adhere to reporting deadlines.

• Monitor updates in federal reporting requirements and adjust processes accordingly.

• Establish and sustain grant administration systems, processes, documentation, project plans, timelines, and deliverables.

• Facilitate project meetings and prepare status updates for leadership.

• Lead stakeholder engagement for the implementation of the grant.

• Manage WICHE technical assistance to support program development and execution.

• Address inquiries from subawardees, partners, WICHE staff, state agency officials, and institutional leaders.

• Build and maintain a multi-state partner network to strengthen the rural healthcare workforce.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with seven years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven project management skills, including exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

• Extensive experience in grants management, including federal grants and federal grant reporting.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective, cooperative, and cordial working relationships.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy audiences such as legislators, governors’ staff, and state agency officials.

• Capability to research and synthesize complex policy topics, including federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision within a team setting.

• General familiarity with and interest in higher education, workforce development, and/or healthcare and related public policies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Moderate to significant travel may be required, estimated at 5–15 trips per year.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Knowledge of federal grants administration is preferred.

• Experience with grants management and/or project management software is preferred.
