Senior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of significant, high-visibility, and potentially high-risk projects, delivering innovative solutions for the Electrical Substation and FACTS sectors.

• Act as the primary contact for senior-level clients as well as internal and external project teams.

• Direct project strategy, planning, resource allocation, and process management for complex projects.

• Ensure adherence to customer specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and technical/engineering criteria.

• Estimate project budgets, monitor and influence costs, and guarantee project completion within designated timelines and budgets.

• Participate in pre-contract scope, schedule, and cost formulation as needed.

• Oversee project development, execution, and control in collaboration with engineering disciplines and support functions.

• Mentor Project Specialists, Project Managers, and Engineers to improve project management capabilities.

• Align project specifications and requirements with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.

• Ensure compliance with site safety protocols and quality standards.

• Develop scopes of work for subcontractors and manage written contract administration.

• Address issues through change management and secure timely payment collection.

• Facilitate the quantification and documentation of project performance after completion.

• Identify and convey work-package completion and commitment percentages for estimate-at-completion forecasting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• At least 8 years of experience in project management within electrical substations or comparable experience relevant to the role.

• Willingness to travel 25% of the time, which may include international travel.

• Must adhere to company travel and tax regulations.

• Experience with Synchronous Condensers, STATCOMS, and Fixed Series Capacitors is preferred.

• Previous experience managing high voltage electrical utility projects.

• Experience overseeing projects or programs from development and design through to manufacturing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and test acceptance.

• Ability to manage external, client-facing projects to successful completion.

• Proficient in applying advanced technical, engineering, and quality assurance concepts.

• Experience collaborating with global teams and partners.

• Capability to interact with executive-level management.

• Skilled in applying and coaching management and leadership concepts and techniques.

• Strong decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.

• Capacity to coordinate and prioritize multiple long- and short-term projects simultaneously.

• PMI/PMP certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with contemporary project management methodologies and software systems, including global resource planning systems and Primavera project management software.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of contractual terms and experience managing customer-facing contracts.

• Familiarity with crafting proposals for complex substations, including international projects and quality training.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
