This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee project-related tasks and resources to ensure timely project delivery, maintain accountability for profit and loss, and guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Report to the Project Management Director while aiding the Project Director in the planning and execution of SMR design and construction contracts.
• Maintain the Project Risk Register, effectively communicate, and mitigate overall project risks.
• Participate in kickoff meetings with customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of kickoff meetings.
• Support the Project Director in organizing the project cost structure within Oracle ERP.
• Develop and sustain the project roster.
• Assign and oversee the timely completion of project-related training activities.
• Create and distribute the Project Work Plan, associated project plans, and project procedures.
• Facilitate the implementation of project plans and procedures throughout the project team.
• Administer and configure project documentation effectively.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. export control laws and other applicable requirements.
• Assist in the development and deployment of project infrastructure and tools.
• Coordinate project activities while monitoring and controlling progress on deliverables.
• Organize and archive project correspondence and records according to the Project Configuration Management Plan.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet contract and project specifications.
• Lead the drafting and issuance of project management meeting notes, action-item lists, and progress reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college.
• At least 5 years of experience in Project Management.
• Minimum of 3 years managing medium to large-scale projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
• Preferred work location is GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; highly qualified remote-eligible U.S. candidates will also be considered.
• Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government, if applicable.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, as required.
• PMP Certification is required.
• Experience in the nuclear power industry, specifically in operations or engineering.
• Familiarity with nuclear construction practices and Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) design.
• Experience in commercial negotiations.
• Background in a matrixed environment.
• Proven ability to lead programs and projects.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Capable of anticipating and resolving complex problems.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and establish trust.
