Senior Project Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the interior design initiatives for special or more intricate projects

• Assist Project Designers in the quality assessment of design outputs

• Provide expertise in space planning, interior building materials and finishes, casework, furniture, furnishings and equipment, lighting, acoustics, wayfinding, ergonomics and anthropometrics, and human environmental behavior

• Implement the complete design process from the initial sketch to the commencement of construction

• Carry out conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and construction documentation independently or with minimal oversight

• Create mood, material, and design presentations autonomously or with limited supervision

• Engage in internal and consultant meetings

• Offer extensive and quick knowledge of FF&E vendors and resources to the team

• Be highly creative and challenge conventional boundaries

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of design experience in the commercial real estate sector

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA accredited institution in a related field (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project or Construction Management, etc.), OR a Bachelor’s degree in a different major along with an Interior Design Certification, Degree, or Diploma

• Experience in space planning using Revit

• Outstanding time management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Capability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Ability to work autonomously

• Skills in coordinating Audio Visual and other specialized consultants

• Proficiency in understanding, documenting, and confirming client and stakeholder goals and objectives, design outcomes, space requirements, project budget, and specific measurable results

• Experience in gathering data through programming, surveys, focus groups, charrette exercises, and benchmarking
