Senior Project Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Oversee project budgets, expenditures, revenue, profit margins, and overall financial performance.

• Manage revenue recognition, invoicing, billing milestones, and financial forecasts in collaboration with Finance and Project Managers.

• Monitor actual costs and revenue against the budget and forecasts, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.

• Ensure prompt project initiation, financial updates, invoicing, and the closure of projects at month-end and year-end.

• Track project profitability, resource utilization, change requests, and their financial implications.

• Maintain precise financial data for projects in ERP and project management systems.

• Generate project financial reports, dashboards, and management insights for the PMO and senior leadership.

• Assist Project Managers in financial planning, forecasting, cost optimization, and commercial decision-making.

• Ensure adherence to PMO governance, project control procedures, contracts, and financial policies.

• Identify revenue loss, delayed invoicing, cost overruns, and other financial risks associated with projects, coordinating necessary actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in project control, project finance, PMO, or project accounting, ideally in IT, technology, software, digital transformation, or system integration sectors.

• Extensive experience in project revenue, revenue recognition, invoicing, forecasting, budgeting, cost management, and profitability analysis.

• Proficient with ERP and project financial systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms.

• Solid understanding of IT project delivery models, contracts, milestones, change requests, and project financial frameworks.

• Advanced skills in Excel along with strong analytical and reporting abilities.

• Experience with Power BI is preferred.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills with Project Management, Finance, Sales, Delivery, and Commercial teams.
