Senior Financial Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee accounting functions for various entities operating in different jurisdictions, including the preparation of monthly financial reports.

• Supervise daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely month-end closings.

• Enhance and maintain financial controls across all entities.

• Manage cost control measures and take charge of the budget approval process.

• Develop and continually refine finance control processes for improved efficiency and scalability.

• Collaborate with the Head of Finance to prepare consolidated monthly management reports.

• Prepare and review regulatory reports in conjunction with external advisors.

• Provide training and mentorship to junior finance specialists.

• Coordinate external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors.

• Deliver ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic business decisions.

• Address finance-related inquiries and requests from the CEO and the wider team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in financial control, finance and accounting, or treasury management.

• Familiarity with IFRS standards.

• Proven experience in supervising, mentoring, or leading junior finance associates.

• Comfortable with fully remote work arrangements.

• Advanced or fluent proficiency in English.

• Previous work experience with a BIG-4 firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies.

• Quick learner who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Effective management of external consultants and legal advisors.

• Proficiency in Spanish, Russian, or Ukrainian is a plus.
