This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee program financials, including revenue and expense budgets, along with both short-term and long-term financial projections.
• Play a key role in fiscal management, strategic planning, and tactical business initiatives.
• Explore and identify new product lines and services to enhance program significance.
• Manage resources, including volunteers, contractors, vendors, and consultants, ensuring effective performance and contract adherence.
• Steer product and service offerings from launch to discontinuation while assessing new technologies.
• Supervise daily program operations, distributing staff, budget, and resources across various program, product, and service areas.
• Support the goals of Consortium, SAE ITC, and SAE International while completing special projects.
• Recruit potential members and sponsors, while promoting membership and sponsorship opportunities.
• Evaluate usage and satisfaction metrics, maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Advocate for program products and services through engagement with customers, industry leaders, and government representatives at meetings, forums, and conferences.
• Direct marketing and communication strategies and initiatives.
• Establish user-experience research to identify barriers, enhance usability, customer satisfaction, and inform future product and service development.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in technical engineering, project management, or business management roles, or a combination thereof.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, science, or business management.
• Technical and engineering proficiency relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication capabilities.
• Strong analytical, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to organize effectively, act independently, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and handle confidential information discreetly.
• Robust project management abilities and familiarity with planning software and tools.
• Awareness of global and cultural sensitivities.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in team development, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Understanding of trade association operations.
• Strong leadership capabilities in formulating and achieving long- and short-term organizational business plans and objectives.
• Experience working with high-level executives and leaders from commercial, government, military, and academic sectors.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and standard office application software.
• Knowledge of software and database systems.
• Must maintain a confidential and secure workspace and adhere to company data security policies.
• Remote work environment with a reliable, secure internet connection and appropriate ergonomic setup.
• Flexible scheduling accommodating global meetings.
• Occasional travel for technical conferences or committee sessions.
