Senior Program Manager, Network Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete development and implementation of build and deployment strategies.

• Lead extensive infrastructure initiatives, such as new site construction, site enhancements, and decommissioning projects.

• Facilitate collaboration among teams including Infrastructure Acquisition, Network Operations, Supply Chain, Data Center Engineering, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.

• Create reporting structures that encompass deployment schedules, risks, and overall project health.

• Identify critical-path constraints, risks, and obstacles, and escalate these issues with data-driven solutions.

• Examine workflows and introduce standardization and automation in processes.

• Manage relationships with vendors and partners to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of hardware and services.

• Contribute to the growth and scalability of Fastly’s global edge computing network.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5–7+ years of experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects within cloud services, CDN, OTT, data centers, or telecommunications sectors.

• Technical expertise in data center and network infrastructure architecture, including power specifications, hardware deployment, and physical layer components.

• Experience in a Production Engineering environment with a focus on Network Engineering, Acquisition, or Delivery.

• Proficient in using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and data visualization tools.

• Background in process analysis and enhancement.

• Experience with global capacity planning, supply chain management, and hardware deployment lifecycles.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management and the ability to reach consensus among engineering teams.

• Familiarity with incident management or conducting post-mortem analyses.

• Capability to convert complex technical requirements into project roadmaps for non-technical stakeholders.

• Availability during core business hours.

• Submission of a resume or CV along with a fully completed application is required.

• PMP or other project management certifications, as well as experience with Dell and Hyve hardware, and Arista and Ciena networking hardware, are preferred.
