This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily operations of a substantial, multi-country grant portfolio, ensuring that activities are in line with donor expectations and the organizational strategy.

• Collaborate with regional program personnel to ensure effective implementation in high-risk, conflict-affected, and restrictive operating environments.

• Supervise program initiation, including the completion of the Theory of Change, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plan, and capacity strengthening plans with local partners.

• Cultivate relationships with in-country partner organizations, encompassing selection, risk evaluation, and ongoing reassessment procedures.

• Oversee the co-creation and implementation of tailored capacity strengthening plans with partners.

• Facilitate flexible, partner-driven funding mechanisms, including emergency, programmatic, and organizational development financing.

• Coordinate participatory MEL initiatives, including outcome mapping, baseline studies, and qualitative assessment methodologies.

• Maintain programmatic and contextual risk registers, escalating significant changes and managing adaptive responses.

• Collaborate with external MEL consultants and assist with donor-led baseline and mid-term evaluation processes.

• Monitor political, security, and civic-space risks across program areas and modify implementation as necessary.

• Ensure that safeguarding standards, including prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (SEAH), are maintained in all partner relationships.

• Organize risk-sharing agreements and contingency plans with partners and internal compliance teams.

• Assist partners in engaging with regional and multilateral human rights frameworks.

• Facilitate logistics and strategic contributions for partner involvement in international gatherings and advocacy weeks.

• Ensure that advocacy priorities are driven by demand and reflect the needs identified by partners.

• Uphold compliance with donor financial and narrative reporting obligations.

• Collaborate with finance and grants teams regarding disbursement timelines, compliance reviews, and sanctions screening.

• Prepare comprehensive narrative and financial reports for submission to donors.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in managing intricate, multi-country grants within the human rights, LGBTIQ+ rights, or international development sectors.

• Proven experience collaborating with civil society partners in restrictive, high-risk, or conflict-affected environments.

• Strong grasp of grantmaking practices, localization principles, and partner-led program design.

• Familiarity with MEL frameworks, especially outcome mapping or similar qualitative methodologies.

• Understanding of donor compliance requirements, including those related to government or multilateral funding sources.

• Cultural competency and awareness of SOGIESC dynamics along with intersectional analysis.

• Willingness to travel to program regions as security conditions permit.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.

• Language skills pertinent to program regions are considered advantageous.
