Senior Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee extensive programs or significant components of highly complex projects valued up to $10M

• Direct and synchronize the efforts of project team members

• Supervise project managers or technical staff while overseeing various disciplines or technologies

• Engage with key customer stakeholders and senior management

• Collaborate with sales teams on overall project strategies to enhance revenue

• Conduct assessments of needs and gather requirements

• Define the scope, objectives, detailed plans, budgets, and metrics for the program

• Manage projects from their inception to completion or transition

• Monitor and assess project performance to ensure compliance with plans, quality metrics, and budgets

• Suggest corrective measures and implement necessary changes

• Identify risks and develop risk mitigation strategies

• Procure both internal and external resources

• Assign project staff with the necessary skills

• Serve as the primary liaison to internal teams

• Manage complex vendor relationships

• Lead communication and negotiation efforts with internal or external clients

• Contribute to proposals, statements of work, specifications, and cost estimations

• Identify and oversee enhancements and improvements to programs and processes

• Conduct project reviews throughout the entire project lifecycle

• Foster a motivated team environment with support from engineering, systems integration, and other departmental resources

• Capture lessons learned throughout project execution

• Implement best-practice project management methodologies

• Allocate resources effectively to meet financial and customer satisfaction objectives

⛳️ Requirements

• This is a remote position based in the United States

• Willingness to travel (75%) is required

• Travel commitment: 50-75%

• Prior experience in people management is essential

• Proficient in Microsoft Project and similar applications for project scheduling

• Familiarity with project risk assessment and risk mitigation techniques

• Self-driven team player capable of working effectively with general guidance towards objectives

• Exceptional interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities

• PMP Certification is preferred

• Ability to pass a criminal background check is mandatory

• Must meet and maintain CJIS Security and Privacy: Privileged Role certification requirements

• High School diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Engineering, Economics, Finance, IT, Management, or Technology

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Public Safety, Project Management, or Program Management, overseeing complex deployments and/or software applications for State and Local Public Safety government agencies

• Must be eligible to obtain background clearance as required by government clients
