Senior Product Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as the main contact point for brokers to confirm or amend AI-extracted lease comparison terms.

• Respond to every confirmation, correction, and inquiry within minutes during business hours, and always on the same day.

• Proactively pinpoint brokers and markets that have become inactive and investigate the reasons.

• Assess broker corrections against the lease and local research standards before accepting them.

• Record the broker's input, the relevant lease clause, and the final decision.

• Gather broker feedback and ensure issues are resolved before closing the loop.

• Process requests to maintain confidentiality of specific comps in accordance with JLL’s data-handling protocol.

• Create broker-facing playbooks, response templates, market checklists, and escalation procedures.

• Collaborate with local research leads to establish definitions before entering new markets.

• Present directly to brokers and accompany the Product Manager to broker all-hands meetings when appropriate.

• Evaluate AI-extracted lease comp data against source lease documents and broker feedback.

• Document discrepancies between AI and broker data for testing and enhancing AI accuracy.

• Convert logged issues into engineering backlog items and follow up with brokers post-resolution.

• Selectively implement automation, such as automatically acknowledging straightforward confirmations.

• Monitor and report weekly broker response rates for each covered market.

• Report patterns in corrections, inactive brokers and markets, and recurring issues.

• Maintain a correction log as an actionable dataset for Engineering and Research teams.

• Foster senior-level broker connections while challenging corrections when lease evidence contradicts.

• Advocate for broker feedback to the Product and Research teams.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager on prioritizing markets and brokers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in leasing, tenant representation, or commercial real estate.

• Practical background in commercial real estate or leasing/tenant representation.

• Proficient understanding of Full Service Gross, Modified Gross, and NNN in practice.

• Familiarity with how TI and free rent are quoted and how they differ by market and product type.

• Direct experience in sourcing, verifying, or distributing lease comps with brokers.

• Comfortable utilizing dashboards, spreadsheets, and Jira or similar tools to track data quality issues.

• Capable of critically evaluating AI-generated output.

• Strong, clear, and confident communication skills.

• Able to clearly explain lease terms to senior brokers and confidently challenge discrepancies.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking on early-stage ownership.

• Experience with JLL and established relationships with brokers or Research teams are highly advantageous.

• Knowledge of SQL is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
