This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Lead the strategic development of supply networks and manage costs for Andurilβs Counter Intrusion product line throughout its lifecycle.
β’ Work collaboratively with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
β’ Perform supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.
β’ Collaborate with strategic suppliers to expedite product development through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet analyses, joint design initiatives, and mechanical/electronics design simulations.
β’ Oversee the development and consolidation of the manufacturing BOM to facilitate production ramp-up both internally and with suppliers.
β’ Manage capital expenditures (CAPEX) throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
β’ Execute value-stream mapping to enhance supply network lead time and flexibility.
β’ Conduct risk assessments of the BOM, including exploring alternative component sourcing options.
β’ Ensure that component qualifications are completed prior to production commencement.
β’ Simplify processes through commonality optimization and rationalization of components and suppliers.
β’ Direct cost engineering initiatives to align the bottoms-up cost curve with product costs while maximizing total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle.
β’ Address ad-hoc cost issues, such as tariffs, import/export fees, and inflationary impacts.
β’ Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical field.
β’ A minimum of 6 years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, and development, or in the design of electronic and/or mechanical devices.
β’ Expertise in value/procurement engineering or total cost of ownership (TCO)-related tasks at both the component and product levels.
β’ Willingness to travel 30% - 40% of the time, depending on program needs.
β’ Preference for working onsite at an Anduril office, though remote work in Washington is acceptable.
β’ A Master's degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
β’ Extensive experience in the design and development of electronic and/or mechanical devices.
β’ Proven track record in advanced sourcing activities, including roles as commodity or sourcing managers.
β’ Experience in supplier development across technology, processes, and supply chains.
β’ Early engagement with suppliers prior to the realization of product and engineering requirements.
β’ Familiarity with the development of high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume settings.
β’ Exposure to fast-paced start-up environments.
β’ Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
