This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the strategic development and cost management of Anduril’s Counter Intrusion product portfolio throughout its lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
• Perform supplier selection for specific products utilizing the approved supplier list.
• Work alongside strategic suppliers to expedite product development through concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet modeling, joint design efforts, and mechanical/electronics design simulation.
• Drive the creation and consolidation of manufacturing BOMs in partnership with Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Facilitate production ramp-up both internally and with suppliers, ensuring high flexibility.
• Oversee CAPEX management throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Conduct value-stream mapping to enhance supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessments, including sourcing alternate components.
• Ensure that component qualifications are finalized prior to production commencement.
• Simplify processes by optimizing commonality and rationalizing components and suppliers.
• Lead cost engineering initiatives to align the bottoms-up cost curve with product costs, maximizing total cost of ownership throughout the product lifecycle.
• Address ad-hoc cost issues, which may include tariffs, import/export expenses, and inflationary costs.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Over 6 years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or the design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Expertise in value/procurement engineering or total cost of ownership (TCO)-related work at both the component and product levels.
• Willingness to travel 30%–40% of the time, depending on program requirements.
• Preference for onsite work at an Anduril office, although remote work in Texas is available.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or an advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering.
• Preferred: Extensive experience in the design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Preferred: Experience in advanced sourcing activities, including roles as commodity/sourcing managers.
• Preferred: Proven track record in supplier development within technology, processes, supply chains, or related fields.
• Preferred: Early engagement with suppliers prior to the realization of product/engineering requirements.
• Preferred: Familiarity with high-tech product development in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Preferred: Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
• Preferred: Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
• Base salary range of $126,000–$167,000 USD.
