This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the strategic development of the supply network and manage costs for Anduril’s Counter Intrusion product line throughout its lifecycle.
• Collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing.
• Perform supplier selection utilizing the approved supplier list.
• Work alongside strategic suppliers on concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost/clean-sheet models, joint design development, and mechanical/electronics design simulation.
• Create and consolidate the manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) to facilitate internal production and collaboration with suppliers.
• Oversee capital expenditure (CAPEX) throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Execute value-stream mapping to enhance supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Conduct BOM risk assessments, including sourcing alternate components.
• Ensure that component qualifications are finalized prior to production commencement.
• Optimize component commonality and rationalize suppliers.
• Direct cost engineering efforts to align bottom-up costs with product costs and maximize total lifecycle cost (TCO).
• Address tariff, import/export, and cost inflation challenges.
• A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or the design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related activities at both the component and product levels.
• Willingness to travel 30% - 40% of the time, depending on program requirements.
• Preference for working onsite at an Anduril office; however, this position is also available for remote work within California.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance (preferred).
• A master's degree or advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering (preferred).
• Extensive experience in the design and development of electronics and/or mechanical devices (preferred).
• Advanced sourcing expertise, including experience as a commodity/sourcing manager (preferred).
• Supplier development experience in technology, processes, or supply chains (preferred).
• Early engagement with suppliers prior to the realization of product/engineering requirements (preferred).
• Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume setting (preferred).
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment (preferred).
