Senior Product QA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of quality assurance for product features, from reviewing requirements to ensuring release readiness.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine acceptance criteria and pinpoint edge cases.

• Create and implement tests that are based on real user experiences.

• Establish and uphold test plans, test cases, and quality standards.

• Utilize product analytics, user feedback, and support data to prioritize testing efforts and focus on high-risk areas.

• Recognize patterns in defects and user-reported issues to promote systemic quality enhancements.

• Relay quality status, risks, and trade-offs effectively to stakeholders.

• Employ AI-assisted tools for generating test cases, supporting exploratory testing, and analyzing defects.

• Validate AI-driven product features, model outputs, recommendations, and automated decisions.

• Assess and incorporate emerging AI tools and practices into QA processes.

• Perform regression, functional, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Verify new features across user flows against established acceptance criteria.

• Work in tandem with product engineers, product managers, and founders.

• Record testing decisions, quality standards, and known risk areas.

• Review and enhance testing workflows, coverage strategies, and defect triage processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a QA role, with significant exposure to product-oriented testing.

• Strong comprehension of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and contemporary testing methodologies.

• Profound product thinking, encompassing understanding user behavior, mapping intricate user journeys, and prioritizing based on business impact.

• Experience in leveraging data (analytics, logs, user feedback) to shape testing strategies and prioritization.

• Proficiency in bug-tracking and project management tools (JIRA, Linear, Trello, or similar).

• Exceptional communication skills to articulate quality risks and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong analytical capabilities with keen attention to detail.

• Proven, regular use of AI-powered tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar.

• A startup mindset: hands-on, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment.

• Preferred: experience in testing AI-powered product features, including validation of model outputs, recommendation accuracy, or automated decision flows.

• Preferred: familiarity with mortgage, lending, or fintech product domains.

• Preferred: experience with exploratory testing techniques and risk-based testing approaches.

• Preferred: understanding of product analytics and observability tools relevant to QA strategy.

• Prior experience in an early-stage startup is highly preferred.
