Senior Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Communicate the product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team.

• Establish user stories and prioritize the product backlog effectively.

• Enhance the value of products developed by the Agile team.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to ensure the product is built correctly, in the right sequence, within budget, and by the deadline.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the Agile team regarding information, prioritization of work, and decision-making.

• Shape the strategy for the department.

• Make decisions concerning technical approaches for project components.

• Report directly to the Director of Product Management.

• Assist Humana in securing and transitioning into a new business opportunity, dependent on award and successful transition.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.

• Over 3 years of technical experience, product ownership, or project management experience.

• Proficient in working within Agile environments, including Scrum, SAFe, Agile Release Trains, backlog management, and iterative delivery.

• Preferred experience in supporting digital tools, customer service platforms, operational workflows, or associate-facing technology solutions.

• Capability to balance strategic roadmap priorities with tactical delivery requirements, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.

• U.S. citizenship is required for the Department of Defense contract.

• Eligibility for a government security clearance through the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).

• A Master's Degree is preferred.

• Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager is preferred; certification may be necessary post-hire.

• A dedicated workspace free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.

• Home internet service must provide at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.
