Senior Product Manager – Prior Authorization, Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the strategy and roadmap for FlowAuth’s prior authorization product, focusing on oncology and other high-demand specialties.

• Evaluate opportunities based on factors such as customer needs, clinical significance, and business impact.

• Perform market and competitive analysis, particularly in the fields of oncology and value-based oncology care.

• Establish product success metrics and leverage product analytics/data to inform decision-making.

• Manage the oncology prior authorization strategy, including diagnosis- and regimen-specific criteria as per NCCN Guidelines and payer policies.

• Translate the evolving NCCN Guidelines and payer policies into actionable product requirements.

• Collaborate with engineering, AI, clinical content, and support teams to develop and sustain the oncology criteria engine.

• Outline the roadmap for electronic prior authorization submissions using API-based solutions like FHIR PAS, CRD, and DTR.

• Forge partnerships with payers, benefit managers, and other stakeholders in the ecosystem.

• Serve as the executive product owner, ensuring customer outcomes across the specialty portfolio.

• Interact with practice leaders, prior authorization teams, and clinical staff to confirm workflows, criteria, and priorities.

• Guide engineering and clinical/content priorities while collaborating with leadership on staffing, sequencing, and delivery.

• Coordinate product launches with Sales and Product Marketing teams.

• Represent the product to customers, leadership, and partners.

• Work alongside platform teams to integrate specialty workflows with FlowAuth’s EHR and payer connectivity features.

• Oversee product documentation, clinical criteria change logs, testing and beta requirements, as well as customer-facing training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software product management, with accountability for an end-to-end roadmap and cross-functional execution.

• Direct experience in oncology prior authorization, with a solid grasp of diagnoses, treatment regimens, PA workflows, submissions, and payer adjudication.

• Familiarity with NCCN Guidelines and their relevance to PA clinical criteria.

• Experience with CMS-0057 interoperability requirements, including PAS, CRD, and DTR APIs.

• Preferred provider-side experience (oncology practice, health system, or provider-facing PA platform); payer-side oncology utilization management experience is also beneficial.

• Demonstrated ability to lead or collaborate closely with engineering, design, and clinical/content teams.

• Strong executive presence and capability to engage effectively with customers, leadership, and partners.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Exceptional communication, organization, and project management skills.
