
Senior Product Manager, Math Assessment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the guiding vision - create a strategic 12–18 month roadmap for mCLASS Math that aligns with the long-term objectives and product strategy of the company while addressing immediate customer challenges and providing insights that shape the 2-3 year product portfolio vision.
• Drive business impact - define quarterly OKRs for your product area in collaboration with the Director of Assessment; hold yourself and your team accountable for achieving product-level outcomes. Track performance metrics and initiate review cycles to ensure features enhance customer retention, engagement, and revenue, as well as team success. Navigate products through the stage gate process, taking ownership of deliverables and analyses for your product area. Collaborate with the Director on investment decisions across products.
• Engage in planning - take charge of and execute research initiatives, develop product concepts and plans to meet business objectives, and create detailed quarterly release/execution plans with feature/task estimates in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering - partner with Design to create user experiences that align with the mission and are feasible. Write precise specifications and manage a prioritized backlog. Work with Engineering to bridge the gap between business intent and technical feasibility, utilizing your technical knowledge regarding the platform, underlying architecture, and technology trade-offs.
• Work with Learning Science and Content writers - collaborate to transform research into high-quality, valid, and reliable assessments and reports that inform instructional decisions.
• Be customer-centric - passionately advocate for users throughout all stages of product development. Conduct qualitative research (interviews, focus groups, observations) and quantitative analysis to gain a deep understanding of user needs and translate them into product priorities.
• Utilize market intelligence - consistently analyze competitor curriculum offerings to identify gaps, differentiators, and winning features for upcoming editions/releases. Monitor industry trends and incorporate insights into future plans to drive competitive advantage and differentiation.
• Oversee complete product delivery - manage products and the teams responsible for them from ideation and requirements gathering through launch and post-launch iterations. Be fully accountable for product quality and scope, organizational readiness, product development strategy, and delivery timelines.
• Lead product execution - facilitate ceremonies for multiple teams. Attend daily stand-ups and collaborate with teams to ensure all obstacles are resolved within 24 hours. Provide clear context and goals to cross-functional teams for sprint plans and features.
• Exercise strategic influence - lead through influence rather than authority. Align senior leadership and stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, CX) around your product vision, strategy, and roadmap, becoming the organization’s go-to expert for your products and features.
• Ensure go-to-market success - collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and CX to develop positioning, internal training, and external messaging that guarantees successful product launches and market performance.
• Over 8 years of product management experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS, ed tech, or consumer tech environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or a combination of education and relevant experience. An advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in startups and growth environments - you have excelled in fast-paced settings where priorities are fluid and ownership is crucial.
• Proven delivery record - you have managed the complete lifecycle of complex products, from vision through launch and iteration.
• A team leader - you motivate teammates, create structure amid ambiguity, and align various stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills - you are a compelling storyteller in both speech and writing. You can simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders and instill confidence in leadership.
• Enthusiasm for AI - you are comfortable shaping AI-powered experiences, collaborating with technical teams to assess opportunities and bring them to market.
