This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take ownership of the data sourcing strategy and prioritize both internal and external data sources for onboarding.
• Establish the intake process for new sources, covering evaluation, provider assessment, ingestion, validation, and go-live.
• Collaborate with data engineering on connectors, schemas, and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Set standards and governance for schema, freshness, quality, and metadata, including any changes.
• Manage relationships with internal platform consumer teams and prioritize their requests effectively.
• Define and monitor metrics related to source coverage, data freshness and quality, consumer adoption, and time-to-onboard.
• Maintain the platform roadmap, communicate trade-offs and timelines, and align sourcing investments with stakeholder priorities.
• Conduct interviews and shadow internal consumer teams to gain insights into data usage and platform challenges.
• Draft requirements and data contracts, collaborating with engineering to size and sequence tasks.
• Assess new data sources and make decisions on onboarding them.
• Provide reports on platform health and adoption to leadership and dependent teams.
• Utilize AI tools for source evaluation, requirements gathering, documentation, feedback summarization, prototyping, and data profiling.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, particularly in data, platform, infrastructure, or API products for internal or technical users.
• Proficient in reasoning about data pipelines, warehouses/lakes, schemas, data quality, and governance.
• Knowledge of modern cloud data stacks, including object storage, managed warehouses, streaming/ELT, and orchestration.
• Proven experience in treating internal teams as genuine customers, managing demand, and achieving measurable adoption.
• Ability to transform cross-team requests into a well-communicated and defensible roadmap.
• Exceptional written communication skills and ability to align with stakeholders.
• Regular use of AI tools and an eagerness to stay updated as new tools emerge.
• Experience in real estate or proptech is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with defining data contracts.
• Familiarity with data cataloging, lineage, or self-service analytics tools.
• Proficient in SQL and comfortable with direct data exploration.
