Senior Product Manager, Lending

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the lending product lifecycle, from origination to underwriting and servicing.

• Support the strategy, roadmap, and implementation of point-of-sale lending, BNPL, installment plans, credit decisioning, application workflows, servicing tools, and new offerings.

• Manage partnerships with sponsor banks and the loan management software provider.

• Develop and enhance partner API solutions, including integrations with credit bureaus and alternative data sources.

• Oversee customer-facing applications and borrower servicing tools.

• Collaborate with data science and risk teams to create cashflow underwriting tools and credit risk models.

• Work alongside Agile engineers, QA, and design teams to establish requirements, prototype lending flows, and launch features.

• Lead A/B testing and experimentation initiatives across underwriting, application, and servicing experiences.

• Maintain documentation for product requirements, underwriting logic, and decision-making processes.

• Partner with legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Utilize internal performance data and external benchmarks to make informed, data-driven decisions regarding lending products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of consumer lending, including underwriting, credit decisioning, loan origination, servicing, collections, and regulatory compliance.

• Experience in managing and navigating sponsor-bank partnership models.

• Familiarity with partner APIs for B2B client relationships.

• Understanding of data ingestion and advanced model scoring for underwriting and credit risk assessment.

• Experience with credit bureaus such as Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion, or alternative data sources like cashflow underwriting.

• Practical experience in conducting A/B tests to improve underwriting and product results.

• Ability to prototype and iterate rapidly in collaboration with design and engineering teams.

• Proven track record of success working with cross-functional Agile teams, including risk, compliance, and data science.

• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

• Experience in the veterinary, healthcare, or care-adjacent industries is a plus.
