This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Take ownership of Docker Sandboxes, including the long-term vision, roadmap, revenue, adoption, and performance metrics.
• Clearly define customer needs, workflows, challenges, and constraints related to security, performance, compatibility, and costs.
• Collaborate with developers who are creating AI agents, coding environments, CI and testing systems, and other secure isolated-execution workloads.
• Develop infrastructure products that are user-friendly and easy to adopt.
• Simplify tradeoffs involving isolation, startup time, performance, density, networking, storage, and cost into coherent product experiences.
• Direct product definition, feature prioritization, and scope in collaboration with engineering, design, security, operations, and go-to-market teams.
• Employ iterative development to hypothesize, measure adoption and impact, learn from product releases, and refine the roadmap.
• Familiarize yourself with the mission, product strategy, and technical architecture of Docker Sandboxes.
• Cultivate an understanding of developers, customers, isolated-environment use cases, and their motivations for choosing Docker.
• Influence the team roadmap and product strategy.
• Oversee team OKRs and success metrics while providing progress updates.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that simplify and add value to secure isolated execution.
• Steer the long-term vision concerning adoption, ecosystem integration, reliability, scalability, unit economics, and ARR.
• Possess a strong empathy for developers and a commitment to engaging with users.
• Have prior professional experience in software engineering, ideally within systems, infrastructure, platform engineering, developer tools, or cloud environments.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of sandboxes/microVMs, containers, virtualization technologies, and hypervisors.
• Understand Linux, container runtimes, orchestration, networking, storage, APIs, and cloud services.
• Have experience designing, building, or operating systems that process customer-provided, untrusted, or agent-generated code at scale.
• Be comfortable using command-line interfaces and discussing APIs, SDKs, and technical architectures.
• Have experience in developing B2B or SaaS products, or possess a background in public cloud and developer infrastructure.
• Understand software supply chains and security, including multi-tenant isolation, identity, secrets management, observability, and reliability.
• Ability to decompose complex technical challenges into manageable, user-centered features.
• Capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and communicating effectively in writing, verbally, and visually.
• Proficient in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, defining success metrics, and prioritizing investments.
• Adopt a collaborative approach with experience in managing products from inception to scale.
• Able to work with fast-paced, distributed, cross-functional teams.
