This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and manage a diverse range of products within SAE’s industry-focused professional development training courses, curricula, and services.
• Oversee and evaluate the financial success of products.
• Work in collaboration with sales and marketing teams to enhance product messaging, positioning, promotion, and sales strategies.
• Identify gaps in industry skills, certification requirements, and workforce development challenges.
• Align and suggest solutions, create business cases and financial analyses, and take part in cross-functional roadmap prioritization.
• Organize and lead advisory panels while engaging stakeholders and subject matter experts to survey, interview, develop, and deliver content.
• Ensure the execution of the product vision within designated timeframes.
• Guide the strategic direction of the product portfolio alongside the product group Director.
• Implement strategies aimed at achieving revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
• Manage trade-offs impacting cost, schedule, users, and product performance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide product leadership from introduction to obsolescence while assessing new technologies.
• Recommend product positioning and messaging, ensuring effective communication with sales and marketing teams.
• Lead and participate in efficacy research to enhance user experience and customer satisfaction.
• Present research outcomes to management to influence future product strategies.
• Create and deliver formal presentations and facilitate group discussions.
• Analyze product usage data and maintain communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor product managers and advocate for strategic product management practices.
• Contribute to SAE’s organizational objectives and complete additional assigned projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, media, STEM, or a related field.
• Over 6 years of experience in product management and development or a similar role.
• Experience with P&L responsibility.
• Proven experience with new product development processes and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with the talent and/or workforce development landscape and/or curriculum development.
• Proficient in utilizing quantitative and qualitative data to guide product management efforts.
• Experience in gathering voice of customer inputs and cultivating relationships with industry stakeholders.
• Product Management certification is required within 6 months if not already obtained.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in Aerospace, Ground Vehicles, the mobility industry, standards, or professional certification business is advantageous.
• Regularly required to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to move or transport materials that weigh up to 25 pounds.
• May need to set up and dismantle displays or materials at events.
• Fully remote work from a professional home office.
• Occasional travel to SAE PRI Group offices globally.
• Up to 20% domestic and/or international travel for industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer engagement.
