This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for one of Sequoia’s top-priority initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Underwriting, Data Science, and Design to analyze complex business challenges and convert them into clear product direction.
• Create product requirements, PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and accompanying documentation.
• Make prompt product decisions, clarify trade-offs, and turn ambiguous issues into clear, testable requirements.
• Work closely with engineering throughout the implementation phase by addressing inquiries, refining requirements, resolving edge cases, and making product decisions.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to establish truth data, evaluation frameworks, experimentation strategies, and iterative AI product development methodologies.
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities, assess potential impact, prioritize investments, and measure actual impact post-launch.
• Balance customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, quality, and implementation risk.
• Communicate product strategy, roadmap, progress, decisions, and outcomes to executive leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies, address blockers, and achieve cohesive outcomes.
• Over 8 years of experience in software or technology product management, or an equivalent combination of experience and demonstrated impact in leading complex software products.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into clear, actionable product requirements.
• Proficient in writing high-quality PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other product documentation.
• Experience in partnering with engineering teams throughout discovery, development, launch, and post-launch enhancement phases.
• Strong fluency in data and experience utilizing qualitative and quantitative evidence to identify opportunities, estimate impact, test assumptions, prioritize tasks, and evaluate results.
• Familiarity with AI product development practices, including truth data, evaluations, experimentation, and iterative quality enhancement.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive audiences.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority.
• A curious and growth-oriented mindset, with the capacity to learn complex business domains, emerging technologies, and customer workflows.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Preferred: Experience in developing AI-enabled or machine learning products, including LLM-based applications or human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Preferred: Experience in title production or related fields in mortgage, real estate, insurance, fintech, or other regulated and operationally complex domains.
