This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a skilled individual contributor within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Assist in defining scope, scheduling, and delivery requirements with minimal oversight from leadership.
• Help establish long-term program objectives and product strategies.
• Contribute to the advancement of the program’s product management practices.
• Function as the primary lead within the discipline when engaging with customers and stakeholders, as necessary.
• Cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, influencing decisions across various teams.
• Mentor and guide members of the product team.
• Direct cross-functional initiatives involving product, engineering, UX, business analysis, DevOps, and other delivery disciplines.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders, as needed.
• Concentrate on program and delivery strategy while also addressing tactical product management requirements.
• Utilize Agile and iterative product development methodologies to meet customer needs and program objectives.
• Lead teams in delivering and enhancing products that align with customer missions and desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with customers and product owners to define product vision and strategy.
• Create and maintain product briefs, roadmaps, success metrics, and other essential product documents.
• Formulate strategies that prioritize high-value outcomes based on program objectives, user requirements, technical factors, and constraints.
• Advocate for user needs and lean product methodologies when establishing priorities and making trade-offs.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships that enhance product and platform adoption.
• Define activities and coordination for new partnerships within the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Comprehend system integrations, dependencies, and endpoints across various platforms and products.
• Establish scalable onboarding processes to facilitate greater partner self-service.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• At least 1+ years of experience leading or managing work across cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX, business analysis, and DevOps.
• Proven experience in developing product strategy, roadmaps, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in engaging directly with customers, product owners, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into product direction.
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative product development environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Must be able to successfully complete any required federal background investigation and obtain and maintain the necessary suitability or security clearance.
• Preferred: Experience supporting digital products, platforms, or services within the Department of Veterans Affairs or another federal government setting.
• Preferred: Experience in forming partnerships and driving adoption across multiple products, platforms, or stakeholder groups.
• Preferred: Experience with complex technical ecosystems that involve integrations, APIs, system dependencies, or shared services.
• Preferred: Experience in establishing scalable onboarding or self-service models.
• Ability to obtain and maintain relevant product or Agile certifications, such as CSPO, CPM, CSM, SAFe, or other related credentials.
