This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team Lead and Staff Engineers to enhance architecture, ensure design quality, and guide technical direction.
• Develop independent technical perspectives and engage as a peer during design evaluations.
• Create prototypes and write code to mitigate risks, address open queries, and deliver small components.
• Take ownership of products where APIs serve as the interface, overseeing contracts, versioning, backward compatibility, and the developer experience.
• Observe manual workflows in collaboration with specialists and operations teams, prioritizing based on genuine pain points.
• Address root causes within systems instead of depending on reconciliation reports.
• Assume responsibility for product adoption and provide hypercare following delivery.
• Collaborate with payroll and tax experts for research and requirement gathering.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration and onboard others into the context.
• Document decisions and rationale in specifications, Looms, and proposals.
• Manage the product area comprehensively, ensuring a positive experience for both customers and internal teams.
• Expertise in Cursor and/or Claude Code is essential.
• Capability to independently build, debug, and deploy functional code/prototypes.
• Previous experience as a product manager in a rapidly growing company.
• Background in payroll, HR, benefits, fintech, or a related field.
• Strong strategic and tactical judgment regarding products.
• Proven track record of self-driven achievements that advanced a product.
• Excellent product design (UX) sensibility.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities across various departments.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, at a business level.
• Experience with remote work is an advantage.
