Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of product features from initial user discussions and specifications to coding, documentation, and changelog updates.

• Engage with the entire technology stack, which includes React for the frontend, Next.js for the backend, ClickHouse for analytics, along with Python and TypeScript SDKs, public documentation, Terraform modules, and Rust workers.

• Communicate with users through calls and community platforms while managing support inquiries.

• Create public documentation for the features you oversee.

• Launch and showcase new features publicly during designated Launch Weeks.

• Identify user challenges and determine the features to develop.

• Collaborate effectively with the open source community and developer users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing features or complete products from inception to completion.

• Demonstrated experience in building and delivering user-facing products from start to finish.

• Ideally possess experience with TypeScript/React and familiarity with data-heavy backends.

• Capability to independently manage projects and build confidence in decision-making regarding development and shipping.

• Strong judgment in product and developer experience, including API design, UI intricacies, and comprehensive documentation.

• A genuine interest in open source software.

• Enthusiasm for engaging with developers regarding their challenges.

• Ability to excel within a small, accountable team environment.

• A degree in Computer Science or a quantitative field is preferred.

• Bonus: Experience with ClickHouse, analytics databases, or intricate data visualizations.

• Bonus: Background as a former founder or experience in early-stage startups.
