Senior Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, QA Engineer, and Product Manager to devise solutions for feature requests.

• Oversee the integration of software that connects internal systems.

• Develop software to centralize add-on purchases for the Arbor Platform.

• Lead the creation of comprehensive documentation for new feature developments, including diagrams.

• Propel the development and execution of advanced tests for new features.

• Write well-structured, efficient, and scalable code utilizing industry-standard design patterns and methodologies.

• Guide and engage in code reviews and pair programming while mentoring team members.

• Facilitate and take part in tech talks, workshops, and team learning initiatives.

• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s core systems and processes.

• Implement strategies aimed at enhancing and optimizing product quality and team lead time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive and proven experience with object-oriented languages and software development.

• Significant experience in software development, particularly with PHP.

• Demonstrable experience in building back-end services using PHP.

• Considerable experience working with third-party systems and APIs.

• Advanced knowledge and application of software engineering principles and best practices, including SOLID and DRY.

• Strong database skills and expertise in relational database technologies.

• A proactive problem-solving attitude with a strategic orientation.

• Leadership qualities shown through collaboration and mentorship.

• Team-oriented, proactive, and ready to support colleagues.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Previous experience with enterprise solutions and large-scale systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with React or Vue and a willingness to learn React is advantageous.

• Understanding of Scrum or other agile development methodologies is a bonus.

• Experience in cloud computing is a bonus.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerization is a bonus.

• Understanding of Refactoring, Clean Code, Domain-Driven Design, and Test-Driven Development is a bonus.
