Senior Product Designer – UX/UI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the visual and interaction design language for the entire elearnio learning platform.

• Transform product ideas into wireframes and create design files that are ready for development, including states, edge cases, responsive behaviors, and interaction details.

• Oversee and update the design system, which includes the component library and design tokens.

• Adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards in all designs.

• Conduct design quality assurance with the QA team to ensure that delivered work aligns with the original designs.

• Facilitate customer interviews and usability testing to aid in discovery and validate design concepts.

• Develop in-depth knowledge of product and corporate learning and development domains.

• Create microcopy in English, and ideally in German as well.

• Progress towards leading design-oriented initiatives from proposal to conceptualization.

• Collaborate with the Head of Product, the product team, the QA team, and customers.

• Challenge unsuitable proposed methods and take ownership of design solutions within specified problems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience designing complex, logic-intensive B2B or SaaS products.

• Proven track record of visually shaping at least one product over an extended period.

• Excellent visual skills in typography, hierarchy, spacing, and information density.

• Proficiency in a modern design tool, with experience in building and maintaining component libraries.

• Comfortable designing for localization across 15 languages.

• Ability to design in both German and English.

• Experience in responsive and mobile design, particularly for phone-only users.

• Capability to conduct interviews and usability tests, using findings to inform design decisions.

• Fluent in English.

• Proficiency in German sufficient for conducting customer interviews is a plus.

• Experience designing within an established product is advantageous.

• Familiarity with multi-tenant products and customer branding is beneficial.

• A portfolio showcasing visual and interaction design skills in complex interfaces and the ability to reason from problem to delivered solution.

• Willingness to work independently as the sole designer and manage the entire product design function.
