Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop user experiences and interfaces for product prototypes that align with industry standards and best practices.

• Convert user needs and business requirements into experiences across web, mobile, and AI-driven touchpoints.

• Design user journeys, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for various devices and interfaces.

• Generate low- and high-fidelity prototypes using AI-assisted tools to explore and refine concepts.

• Create generative AI features that enhance users’ tax filing experience.

• Assist in defining AI-native experiences throughout the Taxwell product ecosystem.

• Develop reusable design patterns and interaction paradigms informed by AI across products and platforms.

• Collaborate with product management, engineering, research, and data science to define, iterate, and deliver features.

• Suggest metrics to define, manage, and evaluate design success while prioritizing enhancements.

• Present strategies and recommendations to design partners and stakeholders.

• Utilize expertise, storytelling, and persuasive skills to influence product vision and design.

• Assess and articulate design value through qualitative and quantitative data.

• Investigate emerging AI capabilities and convert them into product and design opportunities.

• Lead cross-functional AI initiatives and conduct AI training for the design team.

• Establish AI-driven pipelines and agent-driven workflows for customer feedback, specifications, prototypes, and production shipping.

• Set quality standards and guidelines for AI-augmented work and AI-powered experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in designing solutions for software, web applications, or mobile native apps.

• 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise with industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma.

• Advanced proficiency in AI-powered design tools and workflows.

• Proven track record of integrating AI capabilities into the design process and advocating for their adoption within a team.

• Experience designing AI-powered features or products and successfully delivering them to production with tangible results.

• Experience in influencing, negotiating with, and securing stakeholder buy-in, including leadership.

• Experience applying design decision-making processes and incorporating data and key insights into designs.

• Experience supporting the end-to-end iterative design process, including wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals.

• Basic understanding of common design heuristics and principles.

• Ability to accept feedback gracefully and provide respectful pushback when necessary.

• Responsibility for personal work and AI-assisted outputs, deadlines, and delivered quality.

• Capability to deliver compelling presentations and leverage storytelling to influence and persuade.

• Examples of redesigning design processes with AI as a core element.

• Preferred: Master's degree or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Experience delivering end-to-end AI workflows to production with measurable results.

• Preferred: Proficiency in vibe coding and AI-assisted prototyping.

• Preferred: Experience evaluating and adopting emerging AI technologies.

• Preferred: Understanding of responsible AI principles, including bias awareness, transparency, and user trust.
