Senior Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete product design process from discovery and problem identification to prototyping, validation, implementation, and iteration.

• Develop and introduce innovative products that enhance how Datavant provides value.

• Create self-service solutions that boost user visibility, control, and confidence throughout the retrieval process.

• Advance the primary client platform and internal operational tools to enhance usability and optimize workflows.

• Interact with clients and internal users through interviews, workflow observations, concept testing, and usability research.

• Convert intricate, data-driven, regulated healthcare workflows into straightforward user journeys, intuitive interactions, and refined interfaces.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Client Success, and Operations to identify problems, align outcomes, and make product trade-offs.

• Utilize prototypes and research insights to test assumptions, mitigate delivery risks, and guide product strategy and prioritization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in product design, preferably with enterprise, workflow, platform, or data-intensive products.

• A robust portfolio showcasing end-to-end ownership, exceptional interaction and visual design skills, and the impact of your work.

• Proven experience in transforming ambiguous opportunities into tangible products from 0 to 1.

• Strong product judgment that aligns user needs with business objectives and technical limitations.

• Experience in conducting research and facilitating discussions with external clients, internal users, and cross-functional teams.

• A self-motivated working style.

• Ability to clarify complex workflows and convey design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Advanced skills in Figma, prototyping, and design systems.

• Strong knowledge of accessible and responsive interaction design principles.

• Comfortable using AI-powered tools for research synthesis, prototyping, and collaboration; familiarity with tools such as Claude Code is a plus.

• Experience in designing within the healthcare, fintech, or other complex or regulated environments is advantageous.
